Trust endorses Hayden Wano's new appointment

The Midlands Regional Health Network Charitable Trust Board (the Trust), alongside the Pinnacle Group, wish to congratulate Hayden Wano for his appointment as Chair of the Initial Mental Health and Wellbeing Commission, which is set to be established in November this year.

"The Trust fully supports Hayden in his appointment having enjoyed many years working alongside him as chief executive of Tui Ora, a founding member of the Trust and a key partner for service delivery in Taranaki," says Trust Chairman, Craig McFarlane.

Hayden will continue as chief executive at Tui Ora, with the full support of his board, a sentiment shared by the Trust.

"The Trust thrives because of the wealth of experience fed in by our founding partners, community representatives, and health professionals. Having this connection between the Trust and the Commission can only do good things in our pursuit of superior health and wellbeing outcomes for the Midland region, particularly for those most vulnerable," says Craig.

"The initial commission has been asked to look at the wider range of factors that contribute to people's overall mental wellbeing. This has strong alignment with one of the Trust's strategic imperatives to support community-based intervention and contribute to the evidence around the benefits of services delivered closer to home," adds Craig.
