Ngā mihi nui to everyone who completed the Pinnacle General Practice Workforce Survey 2023. We’re pleased to let you know the reports are now published here on our practice website.

  • Workforce Report 2023: Results from the 2023 workforce survey of Nurses and Practice Centre Assistants (PCA). 
  • Workforce briefs: GPs, practice nursing, nurse practitioners, community-based nursing, school-based nursing, practice centre assistants, extended care team, and practice management. 
  • A snapshot summary of insights and feedback: 2023 Pinnacle workforce summary is currently in design and will be uploaded as soon as it’s finalised.  

The insights from the survey will assist Pinnacle to continue our ongoing advocacy, develop innovative approaches for meeting demand and planning for recruitment and retention of a valued and highly skilled general practice and primary care network.

PHO collaboration to deliver Regional Workforce Hub in Te Manawa Taki

Two Primary Health Organisations (PHOs) in Te Manawa Taki have been awarded the contract to deliver the Te Manawa Taki Workforce Hub. Funded by Health New Zealand, Pinnacle Midlands Health Network will hold the contract and co-lead the Hub with Te Puna Hauora Matua o Hauraki (Hauraki PHO). This model reflects a shared commitment to equity, co-governance and a focus on Māori and rural workforces.
